set up failed to open image file

also i can only start the iso vista by booting whit the dvd and it's impossible to extract files the only one i can have it's read me file with UDF file system???please help -- martin, quebec can

You need to share some details of your setup.
This sounds familiar and the resolution is to burn the dvd at the slowest speed you can. MS advises that three quarters of the file read problems can be resolved by burning at as low a speed as 1x or 2x. I can only drop down to 6x, but I haven't had the problems I was having at 16x.

MS has its new Wimage format. That may be it, but that should not matter because all you are doing is transferring a bootable image to physical medium (burn image to disc). You should not be performing any operations on the contents.
